SoResume is an AI-powered resume tailoring platform that allows users to:

  • Upload or create professional resumes
  • Tailor resumes to specific job descriptions using AI technology
  • Store and manage multiple resume versions
  • Download customized resumes in PDF and DOCX formats

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

You must create an account using Google OAuth to use our Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account.

3.2 Account Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use our Service

4. User Content

4.1 Your Content

You retain all rights to the content you upload or create on SoResume, including your resume information, work experience, and other personal details.

4.2 License to Us

By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to:

  • Store and process your resume content
  • Use AI services to tailor your resume to job descriptions
  • Generate PDF and DOCX files from your content

Important: We do NOT use your resume content for any purpose other than providing our Service to you. Your content will NOT be shared with third parties or used to train AI models.

4.3 Content Accuracy

You represent and warrant that all information you provide is accurate, truthful, and not misleading. You are solely responsible for the content of your resumes.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
  • Resell or redistribute our Service
  • Upload malicious code or viruses

6. AI-Generated Content

Our Service uses AI to tailor resume content. While we strive for accuracy:

  • AI-generated suggestions should be reviewed and edited by you
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated content
  • You are responsible for verifying all information in your final resume
  • We are not responsible for employment outcomes based on AI-tailored resumes

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Property

The Service, including its design, features, code, and functionality, is owned by SoResume and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7.2 Your Property

You retain ownership of all content you create or upload. We claim no intellectual property rights over your resume content.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:

  • You violate these Terms of Service
  • Your account is inactive for an extended period
  • We determine that continuing service poses a risk

You may delete your account at any time through your dashboard. Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL RESULT IN JOB OFFERS OR INTERVIEWS.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SORESUME SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold SoResume harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which SoResume operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
